Portofino Hosts Celebration Event for Area Brokers

(Clayton, NC) – – Over 250 area real estate brokers attended a celebration luncheon at Portofino on November 9, 2010.  The event was held to celebrate being named the North Carolina Master Planned Community of the Year by the NC Homebuilders Association.  Attendees were treated to an Italian themed luncheon in the newly opened Piazza at Portofino clubhouse.  The unique clubhouse is crafted of the highest quality finishes, windows and doors imported from Germany, and two large wood burning fireplaces, one indoor and one outdoor. The clubhouse includes a banquet room, wet bar and catering kitchen to handle reception and parties. While dining,  a local magician entertained the agents with his baffling tricks.

After lunch, the agents were offered a trail ride to the Neuse River in order to experience one of the most popular of the many amenities that Portofino has to offer.  Homes crafted by the custom builder team were open for tour.

The grand prize, a trip for two to Portofino, Italy, was won by Annette Bullard, SFR of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston in Cary.   “Touring Portofino was a treat in itself” said Bullard.  “It is very beautiful and unique, but I never imagined I would win a trip to visit Portofino ITALY. I still can’t believe I won it!  Thank you to Norwood Thompson of The Walthom Group for the opportunity to get to know more about the community and the trip of a lifetime to Portofino’s inspiration in Italy.”
