“The Portofino Effect”

The Portofino Effect”

You see it sometimes as soon as we hit the trails, people start planning how they can end up living in Portofino. Most people have no idea we have seven miles of trails that wind their way through the woods at Portofino in Clayton.

There are eighteen bridges crossing the creeks and raised walkways through the wetlands. These are no ordinary trails, they are real hiking trails and they are maintained by the workers at Portofino, who grade them as needed. You can walk them, run them, take a mountain bike on them, horse, golf cart. They are a great getaway from life’s stress’s and you never know what you will come across.

They have been compared to Umsted Park in Raleigh, the mountains and various parts of the country side that stoke the memories of a lot of folks who see the trails.
Living in Portofino has a certain lifestyle of being in a beautiful community that respects the natural landscape around it. People have privacy because of the larger lots and wooded area’s, kids play in the woods right outside their door, and see some cool stuff when they are outside.
There is the stocked pond full of fish, the saltwater pool and courtyard. The quiet that comes from being so far off the highway.
We have all kinds of people moving here, retired couples who are downsizing but are not ready for the 55 plus community, retired couples who are not downsizing, families with young children, couples with no children.
Come and see for yourself, take a mule (Kawasaki) ride, pet the horses, check out the barn, still under construction but magnificent to look at already!
