White Christmas at Portofino, 68 Degrees Forecast for New Years Day! Welcome to the great weather of Clayton, North Carolina where we can get six inches of snow at Christmas (a first) and then have the temperature shoot up to 68. Now these are pretty extreme for this time of year. But when we do get a big snow fall it’s great because you stay home and catch up on whatever it is you have to catch up on, then snow is outta here and it’s back to normal.
We have the luxury of four seasons here at Portofino, but the Winters are short and mild and the Spring and Fall are perfect for all the outdoor activities you can do here. As for the Summer, well the beautiful salt water, beach entry pool with the covered picnic area is the popular place, as are the many miles of trails which are under the canopy of trees providing lots of shade.
